According to Jeune Afrique, the National Hydrocarbons Corporation (SNH) is positioned as the best Cameroonian company in 2015, ahead of the National Refining Company (SONARA). It is also ranked first in Central Africa, despite the crisis in the oil sector.
In the latest ranking of 500 companies that had been done by the weekly Jeune Afrique, SNH was behind SONARA. In the new classification, SNH takes the place that had been taken from her by SONARA
“At the continental level, this giant of Cameroon’s economy is ranked 64th out of 70 companies (including 40 in Cameroon) identified in this area with a turnover of about FCFA 859 billion,” writes Mutations.
On her part, SONARA is ranked 102 out of 500 firms nationally, ahead of Société Anonyme des Brasseries du Cameroon (SABC). Total Cameroon, with FCFA 333,547 billion, is in 4th place and 238th in Africa. MTN and Orange, the phone companies are respectively the 4th and 5th locally. Eneo is in 6th out of the most successful companies in Cameroon with a turnover of about FCFA 297 billion.
